Seth Griffith

his house was built by Grand Isle resident Seth Griffith (1772-1835) shortly after his marriage to Joanna Hoag (1786-1851/52). Family tradition tells that the Battle of Plattsburgh (1814) was watched from this house.  This house is still standing midway up Quaker Road.    More information on Seth Griffith here
